Buttercup

Buttercup is 15hh tall and stout! She doesn’t appreciate attention like the geldings do but once you have her caught she’s a really good mare and pretty easy to handle. Rides safe and she also drives a cart really well. I have a cart her size now so we will get a video... before we bought her we did ride in a cart with her pulling. She’s 20 years old. Will Walk trot and canter under saddle and nothing seems to phase her. Learning to run barrels right now and one of our daughters friends whos a confident beginner has been riding her several days a week to prepare for an upcoming show. A bit forward as she has a working mentality but controllable. Will go through water, over bridges, through tunnels, and doesnt spook at anything. Her only vice with a cart is she wants to move a little when setting her between the forks to drive. Besides that she’s amazing and can work all day. My husband bought this horse and we didn’t intend on rehoming her but decided the rescue could use the money so we listed her awhile back. She’s been a good family horse and we’ve had a few beginners on her when we needed a safe one for someone to ride. Very sold horse. Adoption fee is reduced to $4000

Dorie

This cute pasture princess is a standard Jenny who was rescued by one of our clients but unfortunately her plans for her were changed soon after she arrived because her companion who was rescued had to be euthanized. this girl had blodwork done and was ok so the owner had us complete her quarantine and after she was healthy she had the vet do a surgical procedure to correct a club foot. She has recovered and is now available for adoption. This girl is a true pasture princess who expects to be treated as such. She knows what she wants and where she wants her food and how you are to serve it to her. She talks to you if you choose wrong. We just love this sweet girl but she needs a home as she cant stay forever. Please only homes with a pasture. $650 adoption fee

Katie

Thorps Katie Darlin’ is a 2003 registered American Morgan Horse mare. We bought her as a summer project for my daughter to work with and find her a good home a couple summers ago. She had driving experience and minimal riding experience before she started working with her. She had more go and was hard to slow down when she began working with her. Now she is happy to walk along trot and canter on cue. She now rides English and western and has been started on jump standards and will jump over logs. She’d make an outstanding cross country horse with more jumping work. She trail rides on and off site alone and in a group and will go ANYWHERE you point her (Even through and in water). She has lot of endurance and seems like she doesn’t wear down. She gives her all no matter what you ask of her. She gets along with others and has manners. 15.1hh tall. We also put 30 days of professional training into her last summer and she is now light in the bit and neck reigns. Outstanding ALL AROUNDER but NOT for a beginner. She has sat up quite awhile since we rode her last so I’m sure she will need a refresher again. She needs someone who can handle a little spookiness and one that prefers to go at a faster pace. She’s been here for entirely too long so her adoption fee is reduced substantially just to get her a home where she will get used. Reduced to $1000 adoption fee just to get her a good home faster

RutRoe

RutRoe- if you haven’t heard of this boy you really haven’t been following our rescue long. He’s been with us for like 3 years. We have had him in two different training programs and finally last summer he decided he wanted to be a good boy under saddle. However no one has rode him in quite awhile so I can’t guarantee he’s going to still be the same awesome horse he was when he was rode last. That being said, he has all the potential you could ever ask for just needs the right person to step up for him and use him at his full potential. I just want to see him have a job besides giving me endless loves everyday. If you are looking for one with more potential than someone could ask for, a ton of personality, athletic ability and literally the definition of in your pocket… this is your guy. He is a leader in the herd. 15.2hh tall and 12 years old grade QH gelding. NOT FOR A CHILD- hes too much horse for someone who isn't experienced but so much potential. Adoption fee $1700
